Onderzoekers van beveiligingsbedrijf Sysdig namen voor het eerst een ransomware-aanval waar waarvan de technische uitvoering vrijwel volledig door een AI-agent werd gedaan: verkenning, laterale bewegingen en versleuteling combineerde het systeem zelfstandig. Nadere berichtgeving nuanceert het beeld: een mens koos het slachtoffer, richtte de infrastructuur in en leverde de gestolen inloggegevens aan.Researchers at security firm Sysdig observed, for the first time, a ransomware attack whose technical execution was performed almost entirely by an AI agent: the system combined reconnaissance, lateral movement and encryption on its own.
